What is a Star of Hope Tribute Page?

A Star of Hope Tribute Page is a special place where you, family and friends can celebrate your loved one’s life, and how much they mean to you.

You can make the page a reflection of their life and personality, sharing stories, photos and music. You can mark birthdays, anniversaries and milestones. And you can raise vital funds in their name. Together, you and your loved one can help bring us closer to the day when no one dies of bowel cancer. Your love, their legacy.

Why create a Star of Hope Tribute Page?

It’s a place where you always can go to remember your loved one and reflect on all the things that made them so special. You may even get to know them better by finding stories and pictures you never knew about.

It’s a wonderful space to bring friends and family together, helping one another through their loss by celebrating your loved one’s life.

It’s an amazing way for your loved one’s legacy to live on in the funds you raise and the lives you help save together.

It’s free and easy to set up, simple to update from your phone, tablet or PC, and will stay online permanently – or for as long as you want it to.

How do I set up a Star of Hope Tribute Page?

Creating your Star of Hope Tribute Page is free and simple. Just visit bowelcanceruk.muchloved.org, click “Create a Tribute” and follow these steps.

  1. Tell us about your loved one. Share their name and (if you like) nickname, when they were born and their relationship to you.
  2. Make it theirs. Add photos of them, share memories, and explore all the ways you can make their page a loving and intimate celebration of their life.
  3. Celebrate their memory. Decide whether to make your Tribute public or private*, then share the page link with everyone who loves and misses them, so they can add their own pictures and videos, music and memories.

*We recommend making it public so that more people can be touched, comforted and inspired by their story, and donate in your loved one’s memory.

Funeral collections

Setting up a Star of Hope Tribute Page for your loved one is an easy and personal way to collect donations at their funeral. Once created, you can add the page link and QR code to their order of service for people to use for making donations (to request their page QR code, please email inmemory@bowelcanceruk.org.uk).

We also have funeral collection envelopes so you can simply and safely collect cash or cheque donations on the day of their service. The envelopes include a gift aid declaration and are free to return, making it easy for you or your guest to post back to us. Requesting them is free of charge and you can order as many as you need: www.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/support-us/donate-in-memory/funeral-collections/collection-envelopes-request-form/
